Can money and meaning go hand-in-hand? Yes, according to the aptly named SOCAP podcast. Money + Meaning explores how unlikely alliances from the for- and non-profit sectors can achieve social impact. It's just launched its second season, which kicks off with SOCAP18 speaker highlights and covers topics on racial wealth disparity, gender lens investing, and indigenous rights.
The podcast series is hosted by SOCAP team members Liz Maxwell and Lindsay Smalling. Both women have impressive social impact resumes, and together lead listeners through discussions around impact investing, financing change, and utilizing capital markets for the greater good. A recent episode explored the link between mass incarceration and poverty, and how we can help returning citizens achieve financial health.
