Sarah Jones: Social Activism Through Stage Performance

In commemoration of Child Abuse Prevention Month, we'd like to recognize, Sarah Jones, a Tony Award winning playwright, actress, poet and social activist. She has been named the first ever Ambassador for UNICEF's Violence Against Children program.

Famous for her multi-personality solo acts, she has received commissions from the Kellogg Foundation, Equality Now, and the National Immigration Forum to address issues of injustice and equality like immigrant and women's rights. Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep has described Jones as a unique talent, "[one] who has that deep understanding of other people." Currently, Jones is producing a feature film based on the numerous characters she has created for HBO films.
