For more than 40 years, Feeding America has responded to the needs of individuals struggling with food insecurity in this country. Hunger remains a complex issue that involves many factors - it is not only about putting food on the table. Over 35 million in the U.S. currently struggle with hunger, often accompanied by the struggle to meet other basic needs such as housing, employment, and healthcare. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, food insecurity is rising, with over 50 million people facing hunger.
By partnering with other organizations, Feeding America aims to meet people's needs, holistically, from homelessness to healthcare. Feeding America is not only committed to providing food for people in need; their goal is to end hunger for good.
